14th July 2005 – UK Office Direct Ltd today announced its support for CLIC Sargent ‘the Big Project’ recycling scheme and added its name to a growing number of UK-based companies that includes a number of high street brands.
The Big Recycle scheme started on 27th June 2005 and is a chance for everyone to focus on what we throw away but should be recycling. Over 700 million printer cartridges were thrown away in 2003, and this year it will be even more.
“We are proud to add our support, we have implemented a number of enhancements on our website to help spread the word and generate awareness amongst our customers.” said Michael Griffin.
CLIC Sargent is asking everyone to recycle their printer cartridges and mobile phones instead of throwing them away by donating them via freepost envelopes or dropping them into your local CLIC Sargent shop. Donations of cartridges and mobile phone help the charity gain valuable income from recycling these items which will go to support children
and their families affected by cancer and leukaemia.
