FAQ - Toners and Cartridges

What are toner refill kits?
Toner refill kits include bottled toner that is injected into your existing empty laser toner cartridge. Toner refill kits are clean, affordable, and efficient and it takes very little time to refill your toner cartridge with toner refill kits.

What is a Compatible Cartridge?
In most cases these cartridges perform the exact same function as their expensive counterparts, but for much less. The printer warranty will not expire by using these types
of cartridges. HP and Lexmark do not allow compatible cartridges due to the patent they have on the printhead.

What are remanufactured Toner Cartridges?
Remanufactured toner cartridges are made to OEM "Original Equipment Manufacturer" specifications. They are also known as recycled cartridges. This means that their quality, performance, and yield (page count) are equal to or better than the OEM's. Before remanufactured toner cartridges are delivered, they undergo a series of rigorous tests to ensure quality.

What are OEM Toner Cartridges?
Original Equipment Manufacturer laser toner cartridges are direct from the original makers of the cartridges that came with your printer. Usually the most expensive of the toner you'll find. In many cases a new OEM cartridge has been remanufactured. Check the label. It will say that it has been made from reconditioned parts. In essence you won't find many "brand new" cartridges with our ability to recycle.

What is an Ink Refill Kit?
An option you have when your ink runs dry is refilling your empty cartridge with fresh ink. Depending on the manufacturer, many ink cartridges can be refilled 3-10 times. Ink refill kits allow you to refill the empty cartridge yourself.

What does the fuser do on a laser printer?
The fuser is the system that melts the toner onto the medium. The hot-roll and the back-up roller make up the fuser system.

What kind of problems do printers with Laser Toner Cartridges give?
The following is a summary of problems that Laser Toner Cartridges have and the corresponding effect on printing.  They can help you diagnose the problem with your laser toner cartridge.  If your problem is not listed, the problem may be with your printer, not the laser toner cartridge.

What are Inkjet Refill Kits?
Inkjet refill kits allow you to refill your existing cartridges when they become empty. The kits work by injecting bottled ink into the empty cartridges. Many inkjet cartridges can be refilled between 3 and 10 times with refill kits.
